there is a new law in Pennsylvania that

motorists must give cyclists 4 feet when passing.

There are too many cyclist deaths......

we need all the help we can get!

neighbor Deb & me on the Milford bridge from PA to NJ.

We rode 34 miles today and averaged over 15 mpg.

nice, for me!

Bluebirds day 12 - another week or so with us.

Glad they are surviving!

my VIBRAMS were looking neglected in the closet

so I thought I'd break them out and take them for a run---

after running a couple miles in them I

remembered why they were neglected -

I was NOT LIKING them at all.....

so I ran the last 1.5 + miles barefooted, literally.

And it was WAY better than those Vibrams....

Chester & I ended up running/walking 3.69 miles.

(our time isn't great...)

The goal eventually will be 6 miles.

After running I was pretty hungry

so I made this tasty brunch item -

huevos rancheros -- DELICIOUS!!!

I can make them for you if you want -

call today & make a reservation.

went shopping at Marshall's today -

an activity I'm not particularly fond of (shopping)....

Though -- I DID like their hooks in the

dressing room. Kind of cool right?

Some of those things ended up on

the DEINITELY hook.

WHY are Apple stores ALWAYS busy??

It's like Party Central there.....

The camera on my 3 month old iPhone

stopped working = HORRORS!!!

No problem - Apple gave me a brand new phone.

stopped in a cool wine store called WINE WORKS

in Marlton, NJ -- kind of like an hour away -

but somewhat near the Apple store --

the Mexican Food Factory - it was next to Wine Works.

We used to go there often when I live in Philadelphia

but haven't been there in years. It was good.

We liked it. Good memories too.

My new picture!

last week when I attended the Job Seminar they

took free head shots for LinkedIn.

I like mine, what do you think?

Chester needed his Thunder Coat today.

We were having brutal lightning/thunder storms.

He's a scaredy dog but the jacket helps.

I made some FUN ice cubes.

I don't like anything normal.

There's a party in a glass every day here!

I also made Kale chips.

The first step is to wash the Kale & put it

in a salad spinner so they dry quickly

drying them off before I bake them

I put them in a Ziploc & add Grapeseed oil,

shake them up, coat well (but not too much).

then I season the Kale (with Ted's secret salt)

when they are on the baking tray (single layer)

I did 400 degrees for 15 minutes --

too long I think. I need to keep a better eye

on them next time.

Chester sent a letter to his idol MADDIE -

telling her how he LOVES her pictures.

mind you -- Basenjis generally do not bark.

visitor at their bird feeder today.

They live about 30 minutes from us

in Carversville, PA

that bear needs a pedicure!!!!

discuss a SUPER GREAT business idea we have.

that had to be used up.

I added shrimp - it turned out delicious.

Then I made chicken cilantro won-tons with

a special spicy dipping sauce.

We planned to do a short ride then a million

things afterwards.

at the park - someone set this chair up to beat the

crowd for the next game, I guess?

But there was not a game, now or later.

Taken last July out on the salt flats

on the border of Utah and Nevada

with a friend of mine who is an aspiring triathlete.)

by the creek on Pineville Rd that has a bridge out

for YEARS. Rumor has it will be getting fixed soon.

We rode 18 miles today. It was short & sweet.

All good.

Bike Riding = Happiness

went over to Tanner Brothers Farm to get some produce.

It was a bright sunny day - I don't know why many

of these cows were lying down.

Or were they laying? do you know??

We noticed this cow with HUGE UDDERS.

she needs to get MILKED, NOW!

I made a Mexican fiesta dinner

inspired by a ripe avocado.

Instead of beef tacos I used mushrooms

& they were VERY TASTY!

I also made my own version of refried beans,

they were equally as tasty.

Crunchy Mushroom Tacos & bean burritos.

yum.

I drank this wine & should have written a review -

but I guess I was being lazy?? & didn't.

The Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc was

absolutely delicious - I would definitely

recommend buying it & sharing it with ME.

speaking of DUCKS......

Sugarplum & Sebastian came for a visit tonight -

they flew in while I was sitting on the deck

having dinner. Maybe they are getting used to us?

They love swimming & frolicking in our pond.

They also gobble up all the sprouts that grow

from the bird seeds.

My friend is selling this Fairy Sculpture for an

incredible price. If I had a real job I'd be buying it

but since I can't maybe you can???

Today I attended an AWESOME SEMINAR

called

Jump Start Your Job Search:

"An interactive day of information and ideas

to provide help and hope to energize your job search

whether you are in transition, switching jobs or a new graduate."

The event was held at Rosemont College -

a gorgeous campus at a nearby suburb.

We had to pack our own lunches.

sister Pat didn't get my hint I wanted her to

make mine (meals always tastes better when someone

else makes them!) so, I had to make my own!

Chester & I have been getting up early every day

and "running".

The park was gorgeous this morning.

Chester ON a dump truck.

I tried getting him to drive but he wasn't

having any parts of that. Plus,

He didn't have his license with him......

We ran 3 miles this a.m.

Our time is pretty sucky. But we do it.

BLUEBIRD BABIES! 5 days old!

Joyce & I treated our friend Jim to

FRED's breakfast club for his birthday

& his inaugural visit to Fred's.
